    The Knee

The knee is a highly complex joint that provides sophisticated mobility and stability through the legs with both weight-bearing and non-weight-bearing activities. These tissues serve the body to quickly move the leg and foot to prepare for landing, and then instantly changes gears to provide support as the weight of the body loads on the planted foot. This complexity makes the knee joint highly susceptible to injury. Injuries such as strains, sprains, fractures, and meniscal tears can all occur when body mechanics, muscle sequencing, and strength are lacking. If you or someone you know is battling through knee pain or injury, give the team at South Texas Bone & Joint a call. Making your care, our priority.
