In 1972, South Texas Bone & Joint (formerly Orthopedic Associates of Corpus Christi) was established to provide multi-specialty, musculoskeletal healthcare services to patients in the immediate and surrounding coastal communities. For over 40 years, we have prided ourselves on providing orthopaedic excellence and have continued to strive towards finding the best and most-qualified surgeons, physicians, and Board Certified staff. It is with great honor that we continue our mission to serve the citizens of South Texas and beyond.
As a way to continue providing excellent care, our company has expanded within the community by opening numerous Priority Care Clinics. They offer walk-in, no appointment necessary, musculoskeletal-specific care designed with a focus on treating acute orthopaedic injuries. Our Board Certified Sports Medicine Physicians are equipped with immediate digital x-ray technology, musculoskeletal and diagnostic ultrasound, as well as direct patient referrals to any of our renowned surgical teams. This creates a seamless approach to providing efficient and quality care as we treat your specific injury.
Our sub-specialty orthopedic surgeons perform over 4,000 surgeries each year. From minimally invasive arthroscopic interventions to total joint replacements (and everything in between), our doctors will offer the most advanced and appropriate type of care for your needs. Our doctors believe in the body's healing power and distinguish between when surgery is necessary and when it is not the best course of action. Non-surgical treatments options can include - Physical Therapy, Orthobiologics, Pain Management, Casting / Bracing, etc.
Our team also provides Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation. Our clinic first opened in December of 2015. Since then, it has gained significant momentum towards building a solid and successful Board Certified team that works hand-in-hand with our team physicians and other referring doctors in the Coastal Bend community. Our fully licensed physical therapy staff helps aid in your rehabilitation process, following your specific injury or surgical protocol. Our goal is to guide and provide you with the tools you need as you restore your mobility, strength, and overall function. This care gives you the continuum of care you deserve as you continue your journey to a healthy recovery and back to an active lifestyle.
